Remortgage, Same lender, quit job advice:)

Hello, our current 2 year fixed rate mortgage will come to an end in approximately 2 months. We are staying with the same lender for the next 5 years with another fixed rate deal, we've signed the offer and it's been filed. There has been no request for payslips or statements and we've been told there won't be. So my question is can I now quit my job as I desperately want to go self employed and not have to worry about them asking for anything last minute?

What you have done is a "product transfer" and as long as you aren't borrowing more or changing the term, it requires no affordability checks, etc.

So you can quit your job, go on a round the world trip, etc whatever you want as long as you keep up the payments.
