Inheritance from EEA country

My partner has £5000 of inheritance money to claim in her native Hungary. We plan on using this as a small part of a deposit. Any issues with this?

Your solicitor will need a paper trail to show that the money was an inheritance.

Does the solicitor need proof if I intend on using the money to pay the estate agent fees?
  • The solicitor is the one that settles the EA bill. They require proof of source of funds for all of the money involved in the transaction. This includes EA fees, solicitors costs, and mortgage deposit
