Viagra, testosterone

I went to the doctors for some viagra, due to erectile disfunction. The doctor sent me for blood tests, I have given a blood sample today.
She mentioned that viagra could be bought from the chemists, so I did that. It had little effect.
If you Google testosterone, it tells you that exercise, eating more protein and vitamin D and others can increase your testosterone levels.
I am not excessively over-weight and I do get moderate exercise. I am in a new relationship after being single for quite a few years, I am 55 yrs old.
Anyone experience of this issue?

I don’t have any advice for you, I’m female but I’ve found this has a few comments on the subject.

Thanks, lots of posters, mostly younger than myself. Its scary if you think about ED for too long.
I just hope a pill will eventually solve it, as I dont think the problem is anxiety.0 -
Your blood tests may detect a lower testosterone level and that is easily rectified if that is the underlying problem.
Good luck with everything.0 -

My results show a testosterone level of 12.6; normal levels of testosterone are 8-30 in my area, just a quick Google shows other NHS trusts have 10-30(South Tees) as normal levels. So my level is low.
They also tested my SPA levels, which is related to the prostate, my level is slightly high, so I need to investigate that.
The SPA test is unreliable, with only 20% with my level turn out to have cancer. Although, me have some symtoms, perhpasits likely.
My level is 5.1 ug/L, a normal level is less than 3, but levels can be higher than 100 -
As far as I know viagra is often overrated. But I can't tell from my own experience.-1

I'm not, but my brother had. He had ED, but he has got rid of it.

I don't have a problem with ED, mainly because my medication removes any sexual urge whatsoever0
