I went bankrupt in febuary 2006 and my mother passed away in march 2006.
now my mothers house has been sold and the lawyer is arranging for the debts to be paid of the estate (which seems to be taking forever)and the remainder is getting split between myself (which i know is going to the aib) and my sister.
what i was just wondering  was happens once the money is split and the aib have recieved the monies i was meant to get (been told it more than enough to cover my debt) .
  1. will i be dishcharged or not?
  2. will they contact me to let me know whats happening?
sorry this is my first post and unsure how to put things.

  • You will need to ask your OR or trustee. if it is more than enough to cover the debt, it might be worth asking if the bankruptcy can be annulled - although the OR fee's will weigh in at around £10k
