Lidl or Iceland - which is cheaper or better ?

Evening,
I've never posted in this part of MSE before so forgive me if this is a bit of a naive question...
We have a brand new replacement Lidl opening this Thursday and our Iceland has also relocated in the last 12 months, so will be lucky enough to have two shiny new shops !!
We are dedicated Lidl shoppers both for price and quality but have recently sampled some of Iceland's delights and thoroughly enjoyed them.
So I would like to know, who do you believe offers the better quality and bang for your buck ?
Are there things that we should buy in one and not the other etc etc
What I'm trying to find out is have we missed anything by shopping exclusively in Lidl and should we spread our wings a little ??

It's worth strolling round Iceland in case there's something (especially branded) that's good value.

Overall though I'd say you'll get a bigger range and better value in Lidl.

Fresh milk is cheaper in Iceland. £1 against 1.09p. Every Lidl helps.

I like the Iceland loo rolls and it's worth keeping an eye on their 7 day deals and if they have a reduced cabinet.

Their eggs are quite good (20 for £1.80 if you can use that many)

But generally, better prices in Lidl.

Not that I think that farmers are paid fairly for their milk.

why choose? alternate where you shop, or go to both? We use frozen mash which Aldi only have in the winter, Iceland is next best value for that and have it year round. Some of Icelands products are award winning - eg mince pies.

You could be right Vf...maybe not 2 litres and another thought PLASTIC.
