Jury Service Loss of Earnings Issue

Does anybody have any experience with the loss of earnings process for jury service? The lack of clear guidance available is quite painful.
My situation is as follows...
- I've been told by work that I should not return for the allotted 2 weeks, as I have not been included in the rota.
- I have attended court for a total of 3 days during the allotted 2 weeks.
- For all of the remaining days, I was told that I wasn't required to attend.
Will I be paid appropriately by the court for all earning lost over this 2 weeks, regardless of my participation in trials?
Will I need any written evidence from my employer to prove that I was unable to go to work?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You were only required for 3 days at court, that is all they will pay for. It's not their fault your work did not include you in the rota.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

Your employer will need to complete the certificate of loss of earnings form.
On the form it asks if you are not required for a day are you able to return for the full day or half a day.
Since you are or were off the rota than they need to answer no.
Be prepared that the court expenses may be less than what you actually earn pay day.0 -
Did your employer confirm that you could not return to work on days or half days when you were not required on the Certificate of Loss of Earnings that they completed. Provided they did it is my understanding that you will be paid by the court.0

That is my understanding too providing the employer has a good reason why it was not possible for the OP to work on the non jury days. If they were just being difficult, the court may refuse to pay loss of earnings for those days meaning the only option is to claim against the employer.
As said, the daily rate from the court may well be less that the OP's normal full pay.0 -

I'm not sure that is right, I know I could tick that I wasn't able to go back to work.

When I did jury service my employer completed the form & said that I would not be able to attend work when I wasn't required at jury service. At the end of the 2 weeks I got paid in full from the jury service, even for the days I didn't attend or finished early. This was a few years ago though, so I'm not sure if they've changed the rules since then.LBM 04/01/19
