Halifax remortgage sp!cial conditions

Hello everyone
I have received a remortgage offer from Halifax with special conditions as follows:
1. To sell my house within 3 months of taking up their offer
2. You have told us that any mortgage is not to be repaid and we have agreed to this (???? I am confused- since I want to settle any outstanding mortgage when my house is sold! )
3. States my house is in Scotland
My house is for sale and I am looking to renew whilst I wait to sell it. My house is in England....
When I queried this with the broker, I was informed that these are standard conditions. When I pointed out that they were all incorrect and asked for Halifax to confirm in writing that these were indeed standard conditions, they wouldn’t. Has anyone seen these before?
I am loathe to enter in a contract when I cannot guarantee when my house will be sold. Plus, these conditions are all incorrect and make me wander what’s going on.
Thanks all for your advice.

Sounds odd. Is your house even on the market? Generally lenders wouldn't want to bother remortgaging if you're just about to sell.0

My house has been on the market since February 2019. I too thought it was odd...even more so when they wont confirm in writing these are ‘their standard conditions’. I think I ll have to look elsewhere as I m not comfortable with this.0

That seems like it's not English based terms as many properties in Scotland are sold with vacant possession and not in a chain!
I would contact Halifax directly and find out what they are on about. I would then revert to the broker and complain, if appropriate.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
I ve contacted Halifax and they’ve told me to speak to the broker....my point was that the info in the conditions were ALL incorrect. All the way to where the property is located.
I just wanted to make sure that I wasn’t scrutinising something that may well be happening with others as I had never seen this before.
I will look elsewhere as this makes me very uneasy. Thank you so much for yoyr reply0
