Bell Peppers

We eat A LOT of peppers, use them in almost every meal but noticed the sizes are getting smaller in the packs of 3 and to get the bigger peppers (which is the size they used to once be) stores are charging more.

Trying to budget what we spend on food every month, have cut out a lot of waste so far but I wondered if anyone had any tips on who does the best peppers / cost / decent size etc?

I thought about buying sliced frozen ones but I've read online a few times that they carry too much water when cooking - not sure if this is true? We cook them in a frying pan mainly either sliced or diced. Thanks!

If you're eating loads then the cheapest way is to buy a whole tray off your local market, even cheaper at the end of the days trading when they sell them for practically nothing.

I grow them in my greenhouse beside all my tomato plants. I just slice them small and freeze and they don't seem to be watery when i do a stirfry with them.

On offer in Lidl this week, red peppers at 35p each and in my experience they are usually good big ones. Morrisons Wonky ones are usually good value if you don't mind most of them being green.
