    Hi Anyone :)
Had a funny old two months but still making progress! Slow and steady but it's in the right direction. Still having some incredibly sad moments about my Grandad but it's just something I need to get used to as well, never going to stop missing him but I just imagine the moments will get more spaced out. O obviously misses him too, but we'll get there!

DH is officially redundant and between jobs but we will receive his redundancy payment along with his last wage packed at the end of this month. He has another job to go to thankfully, and starts at the beginning of September. It is a pay cut but pays the bills with enough left over. Can't complain at that in the current climate. Very lucky! His redundancy is more than we expected too, which is a blessing in itself. We'll be using some to complete a few jobs around the house (front window replacement, being the big one) and saving as much as we can.

Our loan statement came through and it's now around the £16,500 mark, and we should be able to get our savings up to £12000 at the end of this month. In all honesty a March 2021 payoff still feels like it's slipping through our fingers. I'm determined to keep plugging at it but we will be living close to the line for a while. My goal is to save £300 per month, which come March 2021 will (hopefully!) bring our savings to £14,400 while our loan total will be more towards £13,600. So enough to pay it off but will leave us with very little in savings which is the worry for DH. I think my March 2021 goal might be to just be loan-positive. Be in the position that if we needed to, we could pay it off there and then.

Starting to get organised for Christmas. I've told DH not to worry about gifts for me, part of our loan is for my car so putting towards paying that off is a bigger gift for me and tbf, it's going to be a difficult enough Christmas this year without my Grandad and I don't really want the financial stress of factoring me into budgets. Keeping track of what we're spending and trying to make back what we spend. Currently spent £48.99 (on gifts for O, painting up an old ride on train to look like the Postman Pat one, as well as getting him a little toy version) and made £9.32 so a bit topsy turvy at current! Will get there, putting my old pushbike on this week and as I know bikes are hard to come by at the moment I hope that'll break me even with a bit left in the kitty.
