Hello everyone
I was wondering if anyone knows of companies in the UK who provide probate advance loans against inheritance cash sums?
I see there are many companies in the USA that provide this useful service.
I was wondering if any companies here do the same?

Yes, you can - if you put the words "probate advance loans uk" into Google, or any other search engine for that matter, it will find a number of UK-based providers.

They tend to refer to this type of loan as just another form of "bridging loan" (similar to those used for property) and they are similarly expensive. They also tend to be based on property as security, which is understandable, as ownership and inheritance of that is likely to be easier to establish than cash/savings.

There could be no need to go to such companies.

When our family solicitor was processing my late Mum's estate, which took nine months, they made an interim payment of £5k when I requested it when an emergency cropped up.

The solicitor explained that it was a perfectly ok thing to do, so long as all beneficiaries under the will were treated equally, and there was sufficient money already released to him to accomodate the request.
