Changing Property on offer. Received application withdrawn letter?

I’ve received a letter dated 19th, quoting my new property as a reference. It states further to your recent instructions to withdraw your mortgage application we have closed your file. Lette is dated a day after underwriter confirmed to mortgage broke they were still happy to lend to me pending valuation on new property. Mortgage broker confirmed to me on 24/7 that valuation has been instructed for 1/8. I’m a little bit confused. Do you think they have closed down the original application for the old property and put the wrong property reference on this letter? I doubt they would continue with a valuation for a closed file would they? So I am hoping there is still an open file. Mortgage is with Santander and original mortgage offer was issued 6/6 on the first property. Does this seem like a standard procedure for a change of property and they just put wrong address as ref? I have emailed broker but it’s now the weekend.

When applications alter, Santander will tend to put a suffix on the case number such as
AA2345678C1
So the new number may look like the old one.
Lenders are masters of misinformation in their updates to borrowers. It is something that we Brokers are battling with and contractdicting daily.
I would not worry, expect your Broker to confirm all is OK.I am a Mortgage Broker
