What can I get my boyfriend for Christmas?!

Hi all! Posted originally on another board but was suggested to post here so here goes!
A quick one, I've been racking my brains and not come up with anything I'm happy with!
I don't know what to get my boyfriend for Christmas. We'll have been together six months by then, and he let slip yesterday that he wanted to buy me a ring, I'm not sure of what you call them because I don't usually wear jewellery all that much, but like an eternity ring I think?
I've been thinking for a few weeks now of what to get him. It's difficult because I want to get him something meaningful, but I just don't know what! The stuff I had thought of, which were I guess generic gifts, things like a watch, gig tickets, aftershave, he isn't terribly bothered about (have been doing some digging, myself and asking his friends) but I'm more stumped now because I know what he's getting me!
He likes getting clothes, but I bought him a t-shirt not long ago so don't want to do something similar (and also not v. romantic!) I haven't got a lot of money so I can't afford anything extravagant but I want to get/make/do something that he'll love and cherish/remember.
Any ideas welcomed!

I'd say a watch is a great idea actually and you could make it even more personal by having the back of the face engraved. Get one that matches his style so he can wear it every day and think of you every time he looks at it!
Or you could pay for an experience day for him, or take him away somewhere for a weekend if he's more into doing stuff than getting stuff if you see what I mean. Choose somewhere he would really love and put a lot of thought into it.
One year on valentines I bought my husband gig tickets for a band he really wanted to see and rather than just wrap up the tickets I made up a riddle that he had to solve to work out what his present was. Went down a treat and he thought it was very romantic.0 -

Hey pobby
Thanks! He has just mentioned that there is a watch he is after so that may be an option. Also we have been talking about going away for a short break, we were thinking a European city break and I had half thought about sorting it out myself and surprising him but I'm not sure about that one, if I can find a real bargain then great but if not then I don't think I'll be able to afford it myself
I don't want to leave it too late either! I liked yr Valentine present for yr DH, that's the kind of thing I think is great, shows real thought and originality :TDealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63
