Who applies for help2buy the mortgage advisor or buyer? I mean the application form.

  • I usually do my clients but nothing stopping you doing it yourself. With my network I have to have the help to buy ATP on file prior to application so in theory it's the first think I do

    We always do them to make sure they are correct.

    I often hear of Brokers that dump it back to the Buyer

    It's been made more frustrating by the second affordability check the HTB Agents are doing (when SVR above 4.8%) when they get the offer.

    I thought we were getting a new calculator so we could do this ourselves but someone at Aldwyck said no, the HTB Agents would be able to do this only.

    I noticed new calculators have been issued whilst I was away early this month.

    You cannot adjust the mortgage rate (as I was told was coming down the track), but I did notice they were badly formatted due to some idiot adding unnecessary notes to the title in box M29.
