Business Owner - Halifax Mortgage - new deal

Hi All,
I currently have a Halifax Mortgage around 50% LTV. I am a business owner and paid a low salary plus dividends, my wife has a full time salary but salary sacrifices (pension) 50% of her salary so earning may appear low.
Every 2 years we use an IFA to process our "switch" to a new deal with Halifax due to the complexity of demonstrating earnings, company accounts etc.
My question is that I understand I can switch deals with Halifax simply through their website and therefore not use an IFA (cost) but I wondered how much information I would need to supply Halifax, is this a straight forward switch? or will I need to supply accounts, proof of earnings etc in the normal way?
Happy to do this but its complicated and would prefer not to have to!
Many Thanks for any advice!

Surprised that your IFA charges you to simply switch a deal with Halifax. This is relatively pain free for a Broker.
We find a number of borrowers come to us and Brokers like us having found the direct route more complex than they had imagined.I am a Mortgage Broker
