Santander Mortgage Process - Timescales

Hi All,
We submitted our mortgage application with Santander on 18/07 via MA. We have just had a request for documents today, proof of names on our bank statements and questioning my partners' employer's name. Does this mean that we will now be put to the back of the queue, or will they pick this up straight away? Thanks

You go to a queue for the documents to be checked that they are actually what was asked for. Once they have been approved they are passed to underwriting for review. Santander underwriters are currently working on cases sent to them on 17th July0

The basic answer is yes, you go to the back of the underwriting queue.
It currently takes around 2 days for the admin team to check the documents supplied are what have been asked for and then roughly 5 or 6 days for the underwriters to do their thing!
Sorry, but you’ve probably got a week or 10 days til you hear back on this. Santander have some great rates available at the moment but it’s really backing them up under the weight of applications they are receiving.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
