Dentures

I had some dentures fitted last Tuesday but now the swelling has gone down from my 3 extractions they don't seat properly. Would the dentist have them remade for me? They are closed until Monday but I will call them then.

A first set after extractions can only be considered 'temporary' anyway, and you will probably need a new set after 6-12 months. This is because there are a lot of changes as the sockets heal up over that time period. Plus - the technician making them can only 'guess' what your gums will look like once the teeth have been taken out.

It will probably only take a bit of adjustment to get them fitting comfortably - so you do need to go back to the dentist, but remaking them isn't sensible just yet, as there are still a lot of changes yet to happen.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
