I wont go in to all the detail but our chain has broken down a few times and is now looking good again.
However our Mortgage offer will run out Mid September as it will have been 6 months.
Our Mortgage advisor says he will apply for an extension?
Does anyone know how long you get on an extension?
And what is involved in such an application? i.e will we need to provide latest bank statements etc now again or will things go through straight forward??
Timewise i havent a clue how long they will give us on the extennsion? Anyone been here have any details.
100% the most stressful time of my life

It will vary depending on several factors. Different lenders will apply different approaches and it will also depend on the product. For example, if it was a very competetive / market leading rate then an offer is unlikely to be extended for a long period of time. Be prepared to provide further bank statements and potentially more credit checks as well, as the bank will need to ensure that your situation has not changed significantly since the original offerI work in Data Protection and spend my days dealing with CMC's.
