PPI - slightly different query

My husband and I were declared bankrupt in October 2008, and received early discharge in June 2009.
When we were declared bankrupt, we still had a car on HP with Black Horse finance that the receiver said we could keep as the car was of low value and we only had a couple of months left to run on the finance. We then paid off the finance.
My query is this. Because the loan was not included in the bankruptcy, would it be possible to claim PPI compensation for this loan only?
I want to make it clear that I have not made any enquiries into whether we had PPI for this loan, nor have I sought to claim it back. It's just a thought that popped into my head as I was driving today as to whether or not this particular possible claim would be allowed.

Any and all PPI redress is a pre-bankruptcy asset which belongs to the Official Receiver for redistribution to your former creditors..
This will remain the situation until the last PPI complaint at the end of August0 -
Hi Mich,
Whether you can claim has no bearing on whether any associated debt with a PPI claim attached was written off in your bankruptcy or not.
When you went BR, the right to do things (a right of action) moved from you to the OR. The OR 'stands in the shoes of the bankrupt'. So the right to make the claim of PPI compensation is not yours to make, you can't even make the claim, never-mind obtain any money.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the replies. That's what I thought the answer would be.
It was just an arbitrary thought that popped into my head that morning. With the deadline looming, there are so many adverts on the radio for PPI that it's easy to just think of random things connected with PPI.0
