If the budget doesnt tally with what youre actually seeing, then the clothing costs for 7 growing children seems very low.

As does your food costs. (Does just over £3 a day per person sounds like what everyone's been eating in the last few days? Think back)

How do you entertain 8 people without a TV licence? If the children have games consoles, then these arent cheap and their replacement costs should be included.

I was hazarding a guess for the car as I've only just got it and don't really know what to allow. do you think £100 is better?
I'm going to go over my bank statements for a few months and then try to get a much better picture of where all the money is going :)

I only know what I spent on my old car which was a big car that was 14 years old and kept going wrong. I would budget £100 to be on the safe side and then if you don't use all the money, you can use any extra to treat the kids or save it to buy a newer car.

See the food costs to me seem high. I have six kids and myself and I budget £110 a week for food, toiletries, cleaning stuff etc. That includes packed lunches for four of the kids as well.
