Turning 40 without a pension

Good morning,
I'm looking for some advice.
I'm turning 40 in a couple of weeks, and aside from a couple of years worth of pension contributions, I have no pension to speak of.
I am self-employed earning around €70,000 per year. Myself and my wife have just build a new house using our savings meaning with have no real mortage. In total we have about €30,000 in debt from a car loan and some borrowings to finish the house.
I am wondering what my best options are for a pension at this point? Any advice appreciated.

If you are self employed earning £/€70k then you should talk to your accountant about it. There are many tax advantages.
Also you metion € so not sure where you are actually based, best to say so that people don't mention ideas that may not be available to you.0 -
To confirm, you are in the UK? It is just you are using Euros symbols.0
