Okey dokey on the face of it we have more than enough money to sevice out debts, and we are not in arrears in aways what so ever. The point of this thread is so that I can really focus on lowering the debt and increasing our savings.

Some may remember that I took control of our finances at the beginning of the year, and took control of the cash card etc. I then decided to let OH be a grown up and take control of his finances - fool!!!

I have decided rightly or wrongly not to go at this hammer and tong but use the slowly slowly catch a monkey. I will snowball the loans, and give us a bottom, a middle and a top option. The credit card I would like to pay off by the end of January.

Hokely Pokelies chaps do your worse!!

  • BT £ 43.00 Need to check as this is high for low usage and broadband -Right I have just got off the phone from BT, and this breaks down to £11.00 line rental, £18.00 Broadband and an average of £20 of call charges a month. They had not put Friends and Family on our phone line so they have refunded £20 for all calls made since the new line was put in in January. To lower the call charges in the short term I must remember to use my mobile, to use up all the inclusive minutes.

  • Would it be worth switching to non card reader gas and electric? Apparently it's cheaper that way..

  • Hi Hun thank you - I know it might be cheaper to swop but card meters work for me!!! Also when it comes to the summer and heating is off I carry on putting monies in so it is cheaper in the winter IYSWIM!

Thank you for the water - I had forgot it, I will need to check but I know that it is a constant amount as are water comes from a factory mains and they cant work out usaged for the 50 so houses. I think it is £30.
