Nationwide Mortgage Confirmation

Hi,

Okay so we have a planned completion for this Friday, We have not yet exchanged however I got a text and email from Nationwide last Friday saying "Funds will be send on the 18/07/19". Now I have spoken to my solicitor this morning, and she said she is just waiting for confirmation of funds from the lender?? Would they not have sent the confirmation at the same time they informed me?

The confirmation that the solicitor is referencing is probably the funds literally sitting in their account. Nationwide will not stray from their published timescales for funds release which is 5 full working days. They transfer them on the same day 99 times out of a 100 but they wont say anything beyond 5 working days when asked.

Are you trying to do a simultaneous exchange/completion on Friday by the sounds of things?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah hoping to exchange/complete this Friday, its been 20 weeks so I'm probably over thinking everything. She just said she was waiting for confirmation of funds from the lender.
