Avoid Curtis Banks at all costs. I had an 18 month battle with them to recover my losses when they massively failed to transfer my SIPP to a more reputable provider. With determination and the Ombudsman's support, they finally paid out over 9000 pounds, but they fought me at every step.

My battle is described in a Twitter account I created to publicise their appalling practices. If you're having problems with them, demand a full Data Protection Act disclosure from them. Not only did it cost them to provide this, it also provided me with evidence that they had lied to me repeatedly. I provided the disclosure to the ombudsman, who used it to determine the adverse judgement on them.

Heard horrible things about them to be honest. Friend of ours has an arrangement and has had numerous service issues and incurred losses due to timescales etc. Currently in the process of transferring away.
