Leasehold company charging to change name

Hi, we bought a leasehold property back in August 2017, but continue to receive rent payment requests addressed to the previous owners/current occupier.
I contacted the leasehold company to be told that a letter from our solicitor would be enough to put our names on the account. Instead of the previous owners.

Our solicitor sent a letter, exactly the same as what they had sent back in August 2017, but having spoken to the leasehold company its still in the previous owners name & now want £295 to change the name.

Our solicitor says he has done everything legally that he has to, by informing them & that as long as we continue to pay it doesn't matter. Our names are on the land registry.

We are in the process of remortgaging & don't want this to affect it..

Any advice greatly appreciated
