Well done on getting the job you really wanted. I expect you were very nervous at the interview that being the case, but you must have come across as being really interested in the post and a great fit for the role.:T
Think of a good answer to the question "why did you apply for this job"
Too late for the OP, but I'll just point out that the answer to this question the interviewers want to hear is NOT "well, it's a school hours job, and I need a school hours job ..." which is what I heard coming out of my mouth nearly 20 years ago. Fortunately, despite the horror with which I heard myself say this, I managed to crawl out of the hole I'd just dug and say how passionate I was about the charity etc - and I got away with it, and I'm still there!
But this is why I always say "PRACTICE saying what you want to say OUT LOUD" because otherwise who knows WHAT garbage you will spout.
I have been offered the job of my absolute dreams.
I cannot quite believe it. Over 400 applicants, and they picked silly old me, the kind of fool who turns up with a ladder in her tights
Now that's enough of that. Ladders in tights is an occupational hazard of wearing the blessed things (can't remember when I last did, and in this heat I'd be bare legged!) and you are going to ROCK this job.
