This years tmx elmo

I was in argos last week getting started on the xmas shopping, I got my DD2 (4) the fisher price my baby doll and the new tickle me elmo, I hadnt been planning on getting her the elmo but when I saw it in the catalogue I bought it on impulse.
Now I've seen a video of it in action I'm not so sure I should've spent £40 on it so I'm thinking about taking it back and getting something else a bit more worthwhile.

Anyone think I should just keep it??

  • Just given this to our DS for his 2nd Birthday after the initial worries on his park of Elmo going bump bump & recieving lots of kisses he loves him!
However, I got him at the bargain price of £17.50 from play.com earlier in the year.
My friends 3 1/2 year old daughter has seen him via our webcam (with no sound) & was in complete histerics, she was really impressed!
I have seen a Cookie Monster that is slightly smaller & around £25 & presumably does the same!
If you havent got it out of the box yet do so, bet you cant help but laugh!

  • Thanks :)

I probably should've had a look for last years one so I could've saved a bit of money, there is a new one out this year, it was only released last tuesday and is much the same as last years only it has secret moves, you have to do stuff to him in a certain order to unveil the new moves, oh and he sings a song now too.

I was gonna take him out and have a wee play with him but I better not if I'm thinking about taking him back!

  • i love my TMX and i'm 26 :D
I cant believe they have a new one out already but that was about the going price then as they were struggling to get them out.

honestly every one who has seen it has laughed you can't help but to (even the miserable bat next door cracked a smile) so it'll be worth the money! :T

  • We got last years model (also from play) for my dd's 3rd birthday. She thinks he's great but to be honest he's a bit of a one trick wonder, and gets pretty annoying after a while. Also he's not at all cuddly, and quite heavy for little ones to pick up and carry about. I'm glad we didn't pay full price for it.
