Hello all,
Is there any issues with getting a mortgage when buying a house privately and not through an estate agent?
Potentially buying off someone that has had a house left to them and to prevent any EA fees to do it privately (via solicitors)

Nope no difference, the main thing EA do, is the memorandum of sale, which really is only a document exchanging solicitor details.
Well done for selling it privately, saved yourself 1k on EA fees!
Just get the buyers solicitors details and his/her details, provide it to your solicitor who will take over.0
