Buying private

Options
Hello all,

Is there any issues with getting a mortgage when buying a house privately and not through an estate agent?

Potentially buying off someone that has had a house left to them and to prevent any EA fees to do it privately (via solicitors)

Thanks - searched forum and couldn't find the answer

Nope no difference, the main thing EA do, is the memorandum of sale, which really is only a document exchanging solicitor details.

Well done for selling it privately, saved yourself 1k on EA fees!

Just get the buyers solicitors details and his/her details, provide it to your solicitor who will take over.
