Over 3 weeks since valuation still no offer?

Broker applied for mortgage through santander 5 weeks ago, house was valued just over 3 weeks ago and still haven’t heard anything? I’m a FTB should I be worried that I haven’t heard yet? I’ve read that Santander usually send offer out few days after valuation.

I keep calling and just say haven’t heard anything and should be any day now..

Santander are backed up at the moment, although 3 weeks since the valuation is longer than their current timescales.

I suspect that they have come back and asked the broker for an additional document or asked a question, unfortunately once the broker has responded it goes to the bottom of the Santander underwriting pile and the wait starts again.
I’ve had a case in with them for 3 weeks now, but I have had 2 requests for documents and further info. Each additional request is adding around a week extra to the process.
