how to merge 2 people from 2 seperate photos onto 1 photo??

Help urgently required please,

I am wanting to put my daughter on the same photo as my father in law in B&W then order the photo to be put on canvas for my mother in law for christmas as he died before he saw his 1st grandaughter.

Can this be done myself easily or would I need to leave it to the experts, if so who?
If this has helped you please don't forget to click Thanks, thankyou.

  • It is pretty asy to do, especially if you have the right photo to do the merge from. cutting out your daughter and putting her in the picture is very easy most people can manage it after 30 minutes with photoshop. The hard part is getting the sizes right and shadows so that it actually looks like your daughter is part of the photograph and not just put in the photo.

you may want to take a few photos of your daughter in an apropriate pose to fit in to the photo maybe wearing clothes from the period if it is a very old photo and at varying distances to give a few options for the person doing the work.

There are plenty of people who are skilled in the type of work you are talking, I have played but sucess is limited so I wont give it a try, you may get an offer from this post. but if you check other forums mainly techie based or photography forums you usually find that there are a few photoshop wizards on there.
  • You should be able to do it in any editing package, try this

work on a copy of the files rather than the originals.
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

I do this kind of things quite often with photoshop - and it usually looks good.

But it depends of the pictures...
If you want some help PM me, and I 'll give you an email to send the pictures too - I'll either tell you that I don't think I can do it or I'll have a go.
