Coupon/money-off voucher purse/file

I would like to try and organise all my money-off coupons into some kind of purse or wallet so it would be more handy and useful when shopping, and so I don't miss out on bargains!

Has anyone made one or converted an old purse/file into something similar? Ideally I would want one that could have seperate, possibly clear pockets that I could either seperate coupons into either end dates of coupons or food/non-food items.

No idea what size it should be but don't want it to be too huge or it wont fit into my handbag!

Just thought, maybe they could be made into Christmas gifts for other coupon/voucher devotees like me!ooeer!:T

Looking forward to any ideas.

    Hi,

If you ever go on holiday over to USA they actaully sell 'coupon organizer's.

When we went to visit my DHs friends in USA I noticed one (not handbag sized though). Although they have such fab stuff I'm sure there are lots I'm sure.

I just keep my coupons in a mini fan out folder and put the coupons which expire the earliest at the front. I then take a few coupons and slip them in my purse normally once a week.

i keep my voucher in an envelope in my hand bag. I paperclip them together ie extra points, money off etc. When I do a big shop a write a list and write on it what coupons I have.

I don't really use coupons all that often (usually just my clubcard points) but I would use an A5 accordian file. You can separate your coupons into whichever order you like and it keeps them all together.

Apart from my Tesco vouchers I don't seem to get any coupons - where do you find them?
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!
  • I'm with rev...I put them in an envelope and when I write my list I fish out the ones I am going to use.
I joined all Tesco's clubs so I get extra points vouchers sent through the post and the occassional ones I cut from magazines.
  • Ive decided to start doing this again in January

I use to use envelopes then bank baggys - i had them marked out for

rent - £210 each month in it
    water - £30.40 each month
council tax - £78 each month
    gas/electric - £30 a month
    tv license - £28 a month
    ntl - £80 a month
    shopping - £45 every 2 weeks

the gas/electric and tv license i paid into my bank, then i use these to make sure the bills are paid - any money i have left over i save or use to buy things that are needed. (ie birthday presents etc)

Think i will get a vouchers one going now though and keep it in my handbag witha little note on paper in my wallet of what i have vouchers for
    Time to find me again

I thought about doing this with a credit card wallet.

For the time being I've written a list of what my vouchers are for in my shopping list notebook. That way when I write my shopping list, I know which vouchers to fish for ;)
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • I keep all my coupons on a bulldog clip in date order with the ones to be used first at the front. Then when I go shopping I just take the ones I'm going to use.
  • Thanks for all the ideas.
At the moment I have all my vouchers in a big clear file A4 size ,sits next to my slow cooker, and although I have them in date order I still forget to take them with me shopping.
keeping them in an envelope in my handbag is a great idea I've just looked in my bag and it looks like a different world in there(something else needing sorting out methinks)and I know I would loose it.
May have a look in a stationery shop to find A5 clear file or something similar.
Good question about where do I get coupons from. Apart from being sent them through post when I sign up for freebies, I cut mine from newspapers or mags(and I don't often buy those, usually passed on) in fact I have been known to tear/cut ones from the waiting rooms of dentists/docs etc.But I do ask first though! We sometimes get ones pushed through the door for local shops/butchers etc, plus some in the free paper too.
I have managed to "download" a few in the past for dog food and yogurts through a coupon site but I can't remember which one off top of my head

Where does everyone ese get theirs? Any one ever bought some of E-Bay as I have noticed there are some for sale on there.(Very Clever marketing I think imho)
