Mortgage applications with poor credit

I'm looking to apply for a mortgage within the next year but my credit score is very poor but no CCJs or bankruptcy.
Looking to hear of others experiences, good or bad when they applied for a mortgage with poor credit, e.g What was credit score at time, how much of a deposit you had, what was partners circumstances?

Forget the score or in true Martin Lewis rhyming stuff - ignore the score.
What is pulling your score down? I can only assume it will be defaults or late payments?
The devil with anything like this is in the detail. You need to understand what is pulling your score down. I would get your reports infront of a broekr to go through them and see what they suggest. Literally 5 minutes with a credit report and an experienced broker will be able to tell you an idea of rates and size of deposit needed.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. You not expecting us to list out all our finance information, including partners, and the lender and our deposit in the hope that this will help you get a mortgage? Everyone has difference circumstances.
If your made up score is poor, then what is on YOUR file, lots of debts, low income, previous defaults? You will probably need at least 10% cash deposit, maybe 15% and cash saved for legal, searches and moving fees.0
