When DS had his prom last year as he was still growing we decided to hire a tuxedo. It cost about £50 - this included formal shoes (nice & shiny!), cuff links, shirt, tie and suit. He looked really smart and handsome (biased mother obviously!!)

We hired from a local wedding shop.

for my DS prom this year a lot of his friends hired from Debenhams they do an excellent hire package

But if you go instore ask about their student rates. friend of ours got suit, waistcoat, tie/cumberbund, shirt for £35 + £5 returnable deposit.

really depends on what you want.
