Cyber Security Job Guarantee Programme
A lot of job training offers for people who have no previous training / background in IT. How valid are the offers? They promise a job or money back. Too good to be true? Would welcome your thoughts.

I don't know anything about the program but it seems a strange one to promise you a job unless they have contracts in place with companies.
However, I am working in Cyber security and I do know it's a fast growing industry and jobs are plentiful (whether they will value the course you have completed is another matter to get in it )People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
It looks like there is a skills shortage.
Is the guaranteed underwritten by insurance?
If not the company can just go out of business (paying by credit card might protect you).
Where are the jobs? A guarantee is all very well but if you have a home in Bristol and they offer you a job in Aberdeen then that might be of no use but fit the terms.
Still it does sound like there is a genuine shortage.
I’d be looking for a big name with a history who aren’t likely to disappear and to pay by credit card and be asking where the jobs are located.0 -
You might also find that the available jobs are very low-level with salaries to match - and if you're the age that your username suggests, I suspect you may not be in a position to accept a low wage.0

Thanks guys for your feedback.
Yes it definitely would be an entry-level job. I have enclosed the advert FYI
The Cyber security analyst role is subject to successful completion of the training course - details of costs & fees will be discussed at registration.
Trainee Cyber Security Analyst- No Experience Required
Are you looking to kick-start a new career in IT?
Look no further, with our Cyber Security Job guarantee programme, you are guaranteed to be offered an IT role with a starting salary of £18K-£30K in as little as 4 weeks.
The traineeship is completed in 4 easy steps:
Step 1 - The first step is completing a selection of industry recognised IT courses by CompTIA, Microsoft and Cisco. The training is delivered via multimedia rich video tutorials, presentations and quizzes through a portal that you study from home. This can be done around your current job role in the evenings an weekends. This takes around three weeks of full-time study or six weeks of part-time study to complete.
Step 2 - Once your online training is complete we will then provide you with the practical experience by using our cutting edge Livelabs. Gaining hands-on experience is essential in today’s IT industry for both certifications and keeping up to date with new technologies. Theory is often not enough these days, companies require hands on practical experience to make sure you're job ready.
Step 3 - You will be sitting the CompTIA A+ exams to give you an official certification which will be recognized worldwide. The CompTIA A+ is the most commonly asked for certificate in entry level IT roles.
Step 4 - You will be placed into your first role as an IT Technician, with a starting salary of anywhere between £18K-25K. You will need to gain two years experience in this role before you can transfer over into a cyber security analyst role. While working as an IT Technician, we will release your second batch of training which is specifically designed to qualify you to move into a cyber security role. This will consist of online training, practical training and an official exam.
Cyber Security Role
Once you have completed all of the mandatory training in step four and have the required two years experience in your first job placement, you will be ready to move into your Cyber Security Analyst role. We have partnered with a number of large IT companies who have a massive shortage of qualified cyber security staff. In this role you will have a starting salary of around £35K.
This represents a great opportunity to start a rewarding career in IT and have a real career ladder to start climbing. If you are not offered a role at the end of the training we will refund 100% of your course fees back to you.

What if the role offered was in, for example, The Outer Hebrides? They would have fulfilled their side of the bargain, but would you relocate to anywhere to get a job?0

Thanks!! For the info.0

It seems a bit strange. There are lots of these adverts e.g.
https://www.reed.co.uk/jobs/trainee-it-technician-no-experience-required/38392983?source=searchResults#/jobs/it-career-switch-ltd/p59958?sortby=DisplayDate
They all seem to be run by a company called "IT Career switch" and has the following included :-
Are you willing to pay 8 x £87 monthly for the training with a guaranteed IT role (£18K-£30K)?
They seem to get ok review (although not many reviews currently)
