    Check Clydesdale or Barclays
  • I always remember a meeting with the Virgin Money bdm who said 'We dont ask for bank statements for our cases, if you send them we will have to look at them so if you dont want us looking at them please dont send them'

I so rarely use Virgin that they may now have different packaging rules. Just stuck in my head

On the bright side this is a really easy issue to fix.

Have you checked Halifax's criteria? They tend to be pretty flexible.

Today we have been rejected by Kensington! Any other options? Please help? It failed on bank statements. Mortgage Advisor said there is no other options.

What was the issue with bank statements? Clearly something serious for Kensington to refuse you?

As above! Couple of missed payments and putting large amounts of money in his mums account! Which was actually his savings for the mortgage.

Kensington are notorious for going through bank statements line by line, this should have been covered off before applying. I am not sure I would have attempted it with Kensington from what you have said.

It sounds like you need to find a new broker.

  • Maybe i've missed this but what LTV are you looking at?

Who else has your broker tried?

HSBC have just stopped asking for bank statements on cases across all ltv and underwrite on a single payslip
Virgin dont ask for bank statements
Halifax very rarely do unless needing them to confirm receipt of other income.

Im not saying these lenders will be better for you, Im just thinking that Natwest to Kensington seems a very big jump. What reasons where you given for disregarding the rest of the prime lenders?
