SKY TV - better deal or get rid?!?!?!

Over the year I have had a complete sort out of bills and am saving money on virtually everything possible now.
However, I havent yet addressed my Sky TV and I am convinced its a rip off. I have all 6 basic mixes but no movies nor sports and its costing me £23 per month. I wanted to get rid and just have freeview but H reckons there are a few channels that wont be on freeview.
So can anyone recommend either:
1. a way to deal with Sky to have the cost reduced
or
2. other package with another supplier?
Thanks!!!!!

I've just bought a Freeview Setanta box primarily for the English and Scottish Premier League games that are shown live on there, but it also has other sports on it.
As it's only £9.99 per month and no 12 month contract, I think it's pretty good value if your into football, obviously it depends on your Freeview coverage!0
