Hi
In an attempt to sort my debt out I have written to my creditors requesting the agreements using the CCA template. Cabot have come back to say at this stage they don’t have the paperwork and at present legally can’t force me to pay but will chase. I want to offer a f & f settlement to get them off my back. It’s £1,600 what would our offer in light of this? I have max of £200, do you think this is realistic?
Thank you

Hi,
Cabot are a debt buyer, the loan agreements never leave the original creditor, so Cabot will have to ask them for it, they may or may not be able to provide it.
I doubt they will accept £200, but, you won’t know till you try, so roll the dice and see what they say.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. You could chance your arm now, but if it were me I'd leave it a good few months and then start with the offers. I've left 3 UE accounts over a year or more now with no payments and I've not made any F&F offers. I am now getting discount offers I may consider.0
