Hey all,

Just wanted to ask for advice on our situation. We're getting mixed responses from an L&C broker, who says a mortgage is not possible

Can anyone recommend a lender who would accept the new job offer contract now instead of waiting for the first full payslip in several months?

You seem to have missed out the earlier section from NatWest criteria;-
    Employment status

Applicants must have been living in the UK for a minimum of six months and have had six months' continuous employment in the UK. We class it as continuous where there is no break of more than 3 weeks between employments. The client would need to be in their current position for at least one month and have one month’s payslip showing their new income.

You would be better off with Halifax on a future job start.

If you are in a probationary period for your new job that could cause problems

Why would you change jobs in the middle of buying a house?

  • Hi

We are going through a mortgage application & i have started a new job 1 month prior, however, we had a mortgage offer for another property prior to this but changed our minds on the first property.

We have gone through Lloyds & i have to say they have been great, moving jobs wasnt a problem they just simply assessed our circumstances again.

I believe Halifax are part of Lloyds so moving jobs should be ok, i would always advise inform the lender to avoid any issues down the line.

    Hope this helps
