Paying into SIPP after taking DB pension

Crv as I understand it only those who take their NHS pension before the schemes normal pension age have an earnings limit if they go back to work, eg those with special class status or retire due to ill health.
So in this case I doubt the abatement rules will not apply as I guess the posters schemes normal retirement age was 60.
Thank you Twoplus, I am happy to be corrected, if there is no abatement then to do as Jamesd suggests and put the whole of gross earnings into a pension sounds a good deal!
If I can face working past 60 I might look further into it myself.CRV1963- Light bulb moment Sept 15- Planning the great escape- aka retirement!0 -
Thanks to all of you for your advice. He'll be paying all his earnings into a SIPP! I'm still working so we don't need any extra income at the moment.0
