Tax refund question

I received a p800 on June 28th I tried to do it online but I didn't have a relevant passport and couldn't find my p60. So I phoned them up and after going through it with the person on the phone he said can you hold which I said yes. After a while he came back and said I've processed the refund for you and a cheque is on its way.


I havent received it yet, how long does it take?

I phoned on 28th June the day I received the letter

I hope so, I always get worried about these things in case they get lost in the post or some procedural issue because they're always fast to take it off you but never give it to you.

To be fair it sounds like you could have had the money in your account a week ago if you really wanted it.

I couldn't find my p60 to do the online thing and I do not have a valid passport so I couldn't finish the process of setting up the online thing, that is why I phoned them. If I could I would have.
