Help to Buy ISA question

Hi there,

Apologies in advance if this has been asked before, I've done some reading on the help to buy isa and seen that it is per person and just wanted to ask the question to be sure.

We're in the fortunate position were I myself am already a home owner which is a rental property, and she will be a first time buyer. I'm just looking for some clarification on whether or not she will still be able to use the help to buy ISA to get the 25% bonus on her savings?

Yes she will be able to. If you were both FTB, you could have a help to buy ISA each and both use the bonus each, so as just one of you is, you can use just one in her name.

No worries. My other half didn't own another property when we bought, but he was not considered a FTB as he had owned in the past. I was a FTB and used the help to buy isa with no issues.
