Over the past year I noticed that I was getting several dry itchy patches on my back. First one side then the other, then a spot appeared on my leg. I was urged to see a Dr which I did. I have to say I was more than a little apprehensive!. The minute the Dr looked at it she said it was WARTS! I was horrified
she said that it does and can happen in later life. She says there really is nothing to cure them.. she gav
e me some cream for the itching, and said to put cream on after every shower which I always done.
Has anyone had this, or know any 'old fashioned' method to try please.
Oh yes, I was told that the warts were not at all infectious thank goodness:rolleyes:

My Nan used to say rub the wart with a cut raw potato, then bury the potato while the moon is waning ...0

I used to suffer with warts years ago. The doctor can burn/freeze them off (no hospital appointment required) however I had that done in one go on loads on my hands and a couple on my foot. It is a little painful but if they really bother you ask your doctor about that. I have also used creams, not sure exactly what you are using but the creams I used had the same effect as the burning/freezing technique where regular application gets rid of the wart and I bought them over the counterr without a prescription. I ended up resorting to the cream method in the end as the burning/freezing technique went a bit painfully wrong when the nurse applied it to half my hand rather than just the wart so I decided to deal with them myself. I am now totally wart free and have been for years!0

Thank you both for the replies, the warts I have are not like the childhood variety as in round spot like things. It appears like very dry skin in patches.
I did ask the Dr about removing them/it, she said she could and would if I wanted her to, but that it left a scar and probably lots more will develop   not a nice thought.
I will try the raw potato! I am game for giving anything a try lolWhen man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0 -
Think it was about 2 years ago or so I bought this stuff http://www.amoils.com/warts.html I had developed some skin coloured wart things on my face. I was really embarrassed about it and didn't go to the doctors, but looked up wart varieties etc and what I had certainly seemed likely to be warts. They were gradually spreading up my cheeks from my chin which was really worrying me.
Not only was I embarrassed to see the doctor, but I also was scared they'd want to put acid on them or something to burn them away. So I hunted online for a natural remedy and stumbled across the site.
I applied the oil with a cotton bud 3 times a day. They get slightly worse to start with. But then they just vanished. I haven't had them since.
I think the oil you get is a blend of essential oils. The bottle isn't very big, and isn't fancy looking. But it worked.0
