Nasal Polyps - what were you symptoms

Anyone had a large Nasal Polyps and what were you symptoms ?
I have an odd sensation / discomfort in my left cheek and in the teeth on that side for around 10 months now, I first thought it was dental issue and I even had to tooth extracted as I was desperate but didn’t fix it. I also have a 10 year old dental implant just under the sinus.
Last week I had MRI and then a camera in the nose to look at the sinus, on the side I have the discomfort they found a large grade 3 nasal polyp and because it was single sided (usually they are in pair on both sides) they recommended I have it removed for biopsy. The surgeon I saw though suggested it wouldn’t resolve my discomfort though, however on googling Nasal Polyp symptoms it does suggest facial pain and tooth pain can be a symptom, has anyone else had this and can they describe the symptoms they had ?
The reason I ask is that I’m so desperate to resolve this I am considering having my dental implant removed, I’ve seen a few Implant people and they don’t think it’s the implant but they would remove it for me if I wanted it, the implant appears well integrated to the bone so it’s a big and expensive job to remove, I already had tooth extracted in front of it to see if it sorted it (it didn’t) and I fear if I have the implant removed and it doesn’t fix then I’ve had two (visible) teeth removed I didn’t need to.
Though I have a large nasal polyps I don’t suffer the typical symptoms for example I don’t feel blocked up, I can smell fine, I don’t have a runny nose, I just have a persistent dull ache in my cheek and upper teeth. Sometimes it worse that others but it never goes completely, when it gets bad (like the last few days), I also find it painful to swallow on that side as if my glands are inflamed.
I know it sounds a minor issue but its really impacted the quality of my life and its made depressed and my work is suffering to the point I may lose my job. The constant ache on that side of my face makes it hard think clearly and I do a job that needs a clear head and requires a lot of thinking.
cheers

Things can all get a bit much when you've had a pain for a long time and nothing seems to be making a difference.
BUT
We're not supposed to give any medical advice on here.
However - something wrong has been found (the 'polyp' in your sinus) and they are going to give you investigations and treatment for that. So just take things one step at a time.
The consultant is probably doing some 'expectation management' in saying it's not likely that this is causing your problems, or removing it will help - as if he said it might, then you might put too much hope in this, and then be even more disappointed when it didn't!
But - always fix stuff that can be seen to be wrong before taking random shots at stuff that is probably perfectly ok. As the dentists have said - removing an implant is not a straightforward thing, so I wouldn't consider that at all whilst other - more likely causes are still being dealt with. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
Had a nasal polyp when I was 20 - and that was many, many years ago. Only symptom was nosebleeds.
Removed under local anaesthetic.0 -

Snap except my symptoms were a runny nose. I had them removed under general anaesthetic. This was in 1985."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
I had nasal polyps some years ago. The main symptons were total loss of smell. I had the removed but they came back fairly quickly. They were removed again and I got my sense of smell back.
Roll on 15 years. Due to ongoing nasal congestion I was seen by an ENT consultant and he said I had very slight polyps but it was not worth removing them. He gave me some drops and after few months everything was OK. 5 years later and I haven’t had any symptoms.0
