Mortgage refusal without clear reason

So am I right in thinking that Equifax was right when they said the lender doesn't see anything more from them than what's on my credit file?
Lenders has access to the CRA's datasets. Algorithms will be run across the data and compared to the current internal lending criteria.
Other check that is performed is

So a quick update, the bank still won't provide any details on what the issue is but when pushed to explain how there could be a difference between the Equifax report they have and the one I have, they've said they'll get in touch with their 3rd party data provider to investigate - still no response since Thursday though.
On one of the calls I got the feeling that they felt there may be something on my Cifas but I can't be sure. I put in a SAR with Cifas last week and sent SARs off to National Hunter and Sira/Synectics today.
Best case scenario now is that the 3rd party data provider come back and realise there's been some sort of error.
Otherwise I'll be waiting 30 days for the SARs to come back plus whatever time it takes to challenge what comes on those (if anything) by which time I'll most certainly have lost the property as the condition was a quick completion.
On a side note, I put a SAR in to the lending bank and in the request I noted that I wanted all information they hold on me including any results from CRAs and Fraud Prevention Agencies. They're compiling the information but have said they can't give me the CRA or Fraud Prevention Agency results. Do they not have an obligation to do so as any information on them would relate to me?
@kingstreet - I don't have any financial associations with anyone which is making the whole matter so much more bizarre

CIFAS processes SARs very quick. Mine and my partner's came through in 10 days a few months ago. So hopefully that'll come through quick!Otherwise I'll be waiting 30 days for the SARs to come back plus whatever time it takes to challenge what comes on those if anything by which time I'll most certainly have lost the property as the condition was a quick completion.0

Thanks muhandis, I hope it comes through swiftly. I gave Cifas a call to see if they could speed it up on Friday, they couldn't but asked me to send them an email which I did but no response to that

Does the Cifas come through by post or can they do email? I did request email when I made the request0 -
Applied online, had to send copy of id and address proof by post mentioning the online reference. The SAR response came in the post. Thanks muhandis, I hope it comes through swiftly. Mine was exactly the same, applied online and sent them the documents by recorded delivery which they received last Wednesday so hopefully it should come back soon0

So an update,
SAR from Cifas came back. Looks like Sky have placed a Cat 6 on my name  They've agreed it's unwarranted but don't know how to remove it!
I've made a separate thread for advice on it but can't post the link as I'm still a noob
Any help would be really appreciated!0 -
The only people who can is Sky.
That is if it actually is unwarranted. When you say "they", to whom do you refer?
What was the circumstances? Things tend not to be recorded "just because".0 -
