hi its a issue we have and i have read online that thats recommended.. it doesnt go any deeper then to say 1000 something and i wondered what that translated to into mg as thats easier for me as id do a tablet-0 -
As hinted above - what you have been told is meaningless. μmol/L is a concentration, so you've not been told how much of this solution to take, so you can't convert it into mg.
The molecular mass of vit C is 176.12 g/mol. A μmol is 1 millionth of a mol. So 1000μmol is 1/1000th of a mol which would be 0.17612g or 176.12mg
But - to get what you've been told, you would then have to dissolve this in a litre of water!
So the question then is - how many litres of this water are you then supposed to drink?
The recommended intake for vit C is 75mg per day. More if pregnant
So at a dilution of 1000μmol/L, to get the recommended daily intake of vit C you would need to drink just over 500ml of this solution.
Vit C tablets are typically 1000mg. So to get the same as this, you'd need to drink nearly 6 litres of a 1000μmol/l solution, or 3 big pop bottles full.
Wouldn't it be easier just to take a 1000mg tablet?
Apologies for the funny hour of the post - nightime roadworks a couple of streets away are keeping me awake!!!How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0
