Children's Pen friends?

Any ideas of a reputable organisation where I could set up pen friends for my children? I thought it might be a good idea for them to start to correspond with children of their own age in another country. I guess this could also be set up over the internet and I'm sure there are some sites that do this but without a recommendation I would be a bit nervous of doing this. Hope someone can help me.
Thanks

Hi Silky,
I wanted to do the exact same for my girls, as they love getting things in the post! I also wanted it to be "snail mail" (to practice writing etc!). When I was younger I joined a group called IPF (international pen friends) they are an Australian organisation that have been going for donkey's years, very reputable. I paid about £18 by Paypal and for that we got 6 names and addresses for each of my girls (who are different ages btw).. You have to fill in an online form with likes/dislikes, hobbies what ages you prefer and what sex and country etc. My 2 are now happy corresponding with other girls from New Zealand, Germany, US, Malta & Italy! I think its an excellent idea! They also swap little gifts! My girls name and add will be sent out to others who match their likes etc for the next year, then you would need to re-subscribe, but by them hopefully they will have enough penpals!
Heres the link, good luck and let us know how you get on!
