Mortgage valuation taking forever!

Hi,
First time poster!
so I was approved to purchase a shared ownership property on the 22nd of May, the full application for the mortgage was put in on the 23rd of May and everything seemed to be fine.
Had a call saying all was well subject to valuation which was being done off plan so was really happy. Fast forward 5 weeks! Surveyor has had 3 different lots of plans which he says are not good enough even though every other plot has a mortgage offer off plan.
He wants to visit the site which is fine but its been over a week and hasn't booked appointment to visit yet, housing are just saying they cant contact him, broker is saying its not their problem. VERY STRESSED. I just wanted to share my pain

Do you know who the lender(s) are on the other plots? Is it an option to switch Lenders at this stage?Stressedout2019 wrote: »ven though every other plot has a mortgage offer off plan.
It's sort of a problem for your Broker, since they picket a Lender, who uses what seems to be overly zealous surveyor for the valuation.0 -

Yes most are with the same lender as me, looks like they have farmed out to an independent surveyor who is just not happy.
I know others with the same lender have had offers0
