Just looking at SIPP costs with AJ Bell, they have a calculator on their website that provides indicative costs for investments.

£300,000 with 12 trades a year is £693.00, the majority of this is "funds custody" £693.00 is this representative of the DIY SIPP Market ?

At 0.2 % AJBell is one of the cheapest % based platforms. You can easily find more expensive ones - eg BestInvest and HL. A fixed fee platform such as II would cost much less.
