I won a prize on Facebook a week ago. It’s worth £20 and the girl I won it with has claimed she posted it a week ago. It hasn’t arrived, she sent me the tracking number and it’s not showing that it’s left the depot or anything.

I don’t know what to do, she’s claiming that it was posted so it now isn’t her problem and she’s not going to chase it up or find out why it hasn’t arrived. So I think I am going to have to admit it won’t arrive.

I’ve emailed Royal Mail but I doubt they will even bother replying. I’m so angry.

It is up to them to ensure prize delivery but no one can force them to do it, you could complain to the ASA although I get the impression you did not win with a company who would be bothered by anything the ASA might say.

What exactly does the tracking no. say?
I take it you mean it was sent via a Post Office?

I don't know if this helps but last month i sent a parcel 1st class recorded delivery, i was told the parcel would arrive within 2 days but it took 7 working days for it to arrive at it's destination. When i tried to track it, it just showed that it was scanned at the post office i sent it from, when i called them (i presumed it was scanned a number of times so you could keep track) they informed me that it gets scanned once at the post office you send it from and once at it's destination, nothing inbetween. Sorry for long reply, it's possible it may still arrive within the next few days.
