Liquid whey forming on stored yoghurt

Options
Is there any way I can prevent liquid whey forming on my large pots of fridge-stored yoghurt once they've been opened?

I know this is a natural process but its irritating to have to keep pouring it off I,ve never tried stirring it back into the set product. Will it spoil the set if I do this?

I always stir well, and it re-integrates perfectly; it makes for a lovely smooth yoghurt.

Greek style yoghurt is just ordinary yoghurt with reduced whey, so pouring the whey off will make the yoghurt a bit more Greek-style-yoghurty. An improvement in taste depending on you personal preference .
