Amazon Vine - write reviews

Twice a year it's 7pm, so this month I think it will be.
No I don't think they were discreet - posting a review and then listing the item as new on amazon within a few days. Obviously both listings will show your username.
The electronics on the "targetted" newsletter (and I use amazon's term not mine, as a female I've been offered a lot of mens electric razors, but also a lot of baby products, despite having no children and never having bought a childrens item from amazon) can take up to half an hour to all be grabbed, but the week later on the untargetted anything valuable left will literally be gone in seconds. Don't wait for the email to arrive, be on there spamming F5 from 5 to. It really is fastest fingers at dawn, I've never gotten anything really good off that one as my net is wireless and I don't use a mouse, all of which costs those vital seconds to get there first.
Vine is a great programme, but it doesn't pay to get greedy and if you were thinking of reselling I certainly wouldn't do it through Amazon itself, just enjoy whatever happens to come your way and pick products you like rather than those with the highest resale value.
I'd feel really guilty if I was to sell things on.
I am into electronics, it is my forte for reviews, and they tend to be the highest resale value items, as I am sure you know.
So, If I am right, the expensive things in the targeted newsletter don't necessarily go right away, but they do in the leftover one? And this week I should be at my computer at 7PM.
thanks :money:0 -
Electricals always go quicker than books, so I'd be at the computer for both at 7pm. Because the targetted letter makes the offer to fewer people thats why they go a little slower. Plus you get offered under 20 items, so don't have 10-15 pages to wade through to find what you want! If this is your first newsletter don't be suprised if you get offered completely random items that bear no relation to what you usually buy - that's par for the course! Let me know what you get xDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I ordered a couple of things from the leftover newsletter, and I am going to review them tonight.
This Thursday will be my first targeted newsletter.
Have you find that your trends in the items you select from the vine newsletter affects your targeted newsletter?
Also, out of interest, what is the most expensive thing you have received, and also the coolest thing in your opinion?
Just interested to see0 -
I'm just starting out and have written about 4 reviews on electronics so far. What are the best things to review to get noticed and selected for the program quickly? The only thing we know for sure, is that we know nothing0

They seem to have given out 1-2 batches of invitations last week as far as I can see.
I also started reviewing primarily to get an invite to Vine. However, I stopped after just under 40 as I didn't have much time to write reviews. i was really very surprised to get an invite as I am light-years away from the top reviewers.
Anyway, I am sad to say that I believe selection is quite random!
I reviewed a mixture of electronics and DVDs mainly
I'd say aim to write helpful reviews, and also as many as you can! I know this is obvious but it's the best you can do. I hope you get a surprise like me!0 -
I became a Vine member a couple of weeks ago and just received my first targetted newsletter tonight. What a lot of drivel, and only 15 items.
Maybe next week's big release will be better.

15 items is about right for the targetted newsletter. Mine knackered up last night and only showed 5 things, then another bunch were released about an hour later! Didn't take anything.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

My profile is blu-rays, tv series and electronics, but last night all that came up was a bunch of books fit only for propping up a wonky table leg. It'll be interesting to see if I'm ever quick enough off the mark to get any of the better stuff. Anyone know how many Vine members there are - presumably many hundreds if not thousands?0
